Many modeling books are out there. And there are many books that teach women make-up application techniques. I just don't know which one is the best out there.

books are never kept up to date because everyday every new make up technique is discovered. So even if there was a new make up book, it would be like a year ago or something. Anyway, why don't you suscribe a year of magazine to your friend? It comes in every month and always has something new about make up techniques and correct applications?? Instyle, Elle, People, or Stars always have great make up advice on there. Not only about make up but fashionable outfits too. I read the bobbi brown make up book and it was okay, but after I'm done with it..I'm kind of tired of the book. I suscribed to magazines and every month, you'll get a bunch of make up tricks that people will ever tell u about . Anyway hope that helped. =)
