I turned in an application to gamecrazy online and after not hearing from them for a week I called and talked to the manager he said he was hiring and that he was going to look at all the applications and if I turned one in I would be getting a phone call that night or the next morning that was almost 5 days ago and still no call what should I do now?I turned in an application and made a follow up call what should I do now?

You either assume that you haven't got the job and look for something else





Or you turn in another application - but this could be pushy and annoying





Or you wait another day or two and call again





It could be that the manager has more applications to go through than he expected and so its taking him a long time. Recently I applied for a job and didn't hear anything so I assumed I hadn't got it. More than a month later they have gotten in touch and asked me for an interview. So the moral of this story is - don't completely give up hope on the job, I'd wait another few days then give another call and ask politely if the manager has had a chance to go through the applications because he said he would be in touch over the next 2 days, but its been more than a week and you haven't heard anything
